Region:Tarime
Variety:N39
Altitude:1,700 M.A.S.L.
The Tarime coffee region in Tanzania is known as a center for coffee production and is the northernmost region bordering Kenya. It accounts for about 10% of the country’s coffee output, with most of the coffee produced using the sun-drying method. Among the small processing facilities with sufficient water sources, there is only one located in the highlands of Tanzania. This area, adjacent to Kenya, has the right conditions to produce consistently high-quality coffee. The green bean grading system is similar to that of Kenya, categorized by size into AA, AB, and so on. A Hong Kong team describes this coffee as having flavors of black fruits, raisins, dried blueberries, and black tea.
