Region:Atitan
Variety:Bourbon, Caturra, Typica
Altitude:1,500 - 1,800 MASL
Lake Atitlán, located in the volcanic region of Atitlán, is known as one of the most beautiful places in the world. Surrounded by San Lucas Tliman Village, Santiago Atitlán Village, and San Pedro Laguna Village, the soil and rainfall of this volcanic crater lake create ideal conditions for cultivating coffee trees. The unique natural environment imparts an enchanting aroma to the coffee beans from this region. The coffee is primarily grown by small farmers who are descendants of the Maya, and it is said that they began cultivating Bourbon, Typica, and Caturra coffee varieties as early as the 1950s. Today, this tradition has continued into the third generation.
